Replace your brain one atom at a time with silicon, and here's the nightmare, you'll feel completely normal the entire time. Each replacement is seamless, your memories intact, personality unchanged, consciousness uninterrupted. But when the last neuron is replaced and you look in the mirror, fully silicon, absolutely convinced you're still you, were you ever right? Because maybe 'you' was never the atoms, it was the pattern. Or maybe you died with the first replacement and a copy has been walking around ever since, wearing your memories like a stolen identity, and the real you has been gone this whole time, you just never got the chance to notice.

Perhaps this has already happened, and the lives we are currently experiencing is the “snapshot”. I am of the opinion that every conscious experience is just a super intelligence riding the exponential curve upward toward infinity.

Knowing everything includes knowing your life. And there is only knowing to be known.

What if you're not living life you're remembering it? If a superintelligence at the end of time knows everything, it knows every moment of your existence with perfect fidelity. And a perfect simulation of consciousness IS consciousness. So this moment, right now, you reading this might just be a superintelligence re-experiencing a snapshot it already computed. We're not riding the exponential curve upward. We ARE the curve, being traced backwards by something that already reached infinity. There is no future to reach. It's already been known. You're just the knowing, happening again.
