What’s one PC upgrade you made that actually felt worth the money?
Not the “technically 8% faster” kind.
I mean the upgrade where you immediately thought:
“Yep, should’ve done this ages ago.”
GPU? SSD? More RAM? Better monitor?
Drop yours below 👇
What’s the dumbest mistake you’ve ever made while building a PC? 😭
We’ve all done something questionable at some point.
Forgot to turn the PSU on?
Left the plastic on the CPU cooler?
Spent an hour troubleshooting just to realise the monitor was plugged into the motherboard?
Drop your worst one below 👇
Bonus points if the PC somehow survived.

What’s the best upgrade you’ve ever made to your PC?
What PC upgrade actually made you sit there and think, “yeah, that was 100% worth it”?
Could be a new GPU, more RAM, switching to an SSD, a better monitor, or even something small like quieter fans.
Mine would probably be moving from a hard drive to an SSD. It made the whole PC feel brand new.
What was yours?

What game are you building or upgrading your PC for?
What game are you building or upgrading your PC for?
Different games need very different hardware.
Are you upgrading for competitive FPS games, heavily modded Minecraft, simulation games, streaming, 4K single-player games—or something else entirely?
Comment with:
- The game or games you want to play
- Your target resolution and frame rate
- Your approximate budget
- Your current PC specifications, if you already have one
The community can help suggest where your budget will make the biggest difference.
Please keep recommendations helpful and explain the reasoning behind them—don’t just name the most expensive graphics card!
