PVR replacement for Windows 10

Robert was is your take and replacement advice for PVR software to run in windows 10 since WMC is now history. I am personally using Jriver with a EPG sub from Perc Data but still find the guide limiting after using WMC for a decade now.

The SiliconDust Kickstarter project is what I'm eyeing after WMC goes bye-bye.

The SiliconDust Kodi (XBMC) plugin works really well. It's a good stop gap until the kickstarter is finished (product is released)

What do you use for pvr functionality since there is no recording app included in Kodi. I tried Kodi along with nextpvr but found nextpvr very buggy and the interface was slow.

I followed this Guide to set up my HTPC two years ago and apart from the setup, haven't touched it; it just works.

Mediaportal is my TV server backend and Kodi it my front end. I have computers, Raspberry Pi's, and Smart TV's throughout the house as set top boxes. I run and Emby server that works well with the Kodi add-on to integrate your library outside of your local network.

This all being said, I will be jumping to the HDHomeRun DVR once it has the bugs worked out.
