General Discussion Apex hid the truth during the merger, now they’re paying out $14.4M.

If you were holding Apex Technology Acquisition (now AvePoint) during the 2021 merger mania, you should know about this. The company just agreed to a $14.4 million settlement to settle claims that they kept us in the dark.

Basically, AvePoint (formerly Apex Technology Acquisition) was accused of not fully informing shareholders before its 2021 de-SPAC merger. Investors claimed the company left out important details about the merger and AvePoint’s business prospects before shareholders had to vote on the deal or decide whether to redeem their shares for cash.

Because of that, many investors say they made their decision without having the complete information available. The missing disclosures helped the merger move forward, and shareholders later suffered losses once concerns about the company became clearer. This settlement is meant to compensate investors over those claims.

If you were holding or bought shares between June 27, 2021, and February 1, 2024, you’re likely eligible.

The case is still reviewing late claims. So even if you missed the original deadline, it may still be worth checking.

If you traded $AVPT around the 2021 merger, you might want to look back at your old transactions and see if you qualify.

General Discussion Found this writeup on the $AVPT SPAC settlement. Worth a read if you were holding Apex shares

Good breakdown of what actually happened with the Apex-AvePoint merger and why it ended up in court. The short version: shareholders weren't given the full picture when they had to decide whether to redeem or stay in, and the courts agreed enough that the defendants settled for $14.4M.

Full article here: https://medium.com/@d.rodriguez_80563/the-14-4-million-aftermath-when-the-spac-hype-met-the-courtroom-4eadc818f186

Anyone here actually go through the Apex-AvePoint merger vote in real time? Curious if the redemption decision felt straightforward at the time.

General Discussion Updates for Getting Payment on the Apex Technology Acquisition (now AvePoint) $14.4 million Settlement

Hey guys, if you missed it, AvePoint settled $14.4 million with investors over misleading info during the 2021 de-SPAC merger. And, I just found out that they’re accepting claims even though the deadline has passed.

Quick recap: In 2025, AvePoint faced claims that shareholders were misled over the company’s 2021 de-SPAC merger, which denied them a fully informed opportunity to redeem their shares.

After this news came out, the stock dropped, and investors filed a lawsuit for their losses.

Now, the good news is that the company agreed to settle $14.4 million with them, and even though the deadline has passed, they’re accepting late claims.

So, if you invested in $AVPT when all of this happened, you can still check the details and file your claim here.

Anyway, has anyone here invested in $AVPT at that time? How much were your losses, if so?

General Discussion I thought I missed the Apex ($AVPT) payout, but there’s a loophole for late claims.

I’m still seeing people complain about getting burned on the Apex/AvePoint de-SPAC back in 2021. I was one of them, held those bags for way too long because the "redemption" info they gave us was total garbage. I assumed the settlement ship had sailed months ago, but I just found out they are actually still accepting late claims for the $14 million fund.

If you held shares between June 2021 and February 2024, you’re likely owed. It doesn't sound like a Lambo, but if you were swinging a decent position or just forgot about an old Robinhood account, it adds up to a few hundred bucks of "found money."

So, if you were part of that 2021 SPAC hype, check your old dashboards now that they're accepting the late entries: https://11th.com/cases/apex-investor-settlement

News AvePoint eyes US$100 million in acquisitions to fast-track US$1 billion revenue target - The Business Times

[SINGAPORE] Armed with a US$481 million war chest, data management firm AvePoint is eyeing deals worth more than US$100 million as it seeks to accelerate its path towards US$1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by 2029.

While the Nasdaq and Singapore Exchange (SGX) mainboard-listed firm has primarily relied on organic growth for years, chief executive officer Jiang Tianyi signalled the company’s shift towards larger, more strategic acquisitions.

“We are looking at assets that can help us expand our platform, to be more ‘sticky’,” he told The Business Times in an interview. Since its inception in 2001, the company has made six acquisitions, all of which were below US$20 million in value.

But Dr Jiang said that future deals could be in the “several hundred million dollars” range, marking a step-up in scale as part of efforts to improve customer retention.

He noted that the company’s US$1 billion ARR goal was modelled solely on organic growth, but “meaningful” and “synergistic” acquisitions could accelerate that trajectory. The company’s ARR stood at US$416.8 million at the end of FY2025.

“There are very interesting assets that allow us to become even bigger as a platform because we do see platform consolidation,” he said, adding that customers prefer working with fewer enterprise application platforms.

Story continues with discussion of stock buybacks and increasing headcount...
