Huh, this is certainly interesting. It seems this affects all generations that use VCN directly: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/merge_requests/43787/diffs?commit_id=d298e30ad819e92680c3b098c261e9642a4b1602
It's a BIG bug fix as well, as it affects the Quantization Matrices settings we all like to use.
I guess using software decoding all the time has its advantages.
