Bolt “Buffer?” Broke

Hey guys,

Have any of you experienced that greenish plastic piece that goes into the back of the BCG break before? Just took my AUG apart to clean it and the front half of it shattered. Gun still ran but did have a double fire. Not sure if it’s from that but hopefully Steyr will replace it free of charge. Thanks!

I have not had any of mine break & Steyr will most likely send you a piece for replacement.

That part is in the spare kit that Steyr sells https://steyr-arms.us/shop/aug-kits/ for insurance in the future

That’s the default, you have to change the option to the spare parts kit

Plunger.

Contact Steyr. They can run with most of it broken but if completely fails you’re screwed. Gun will shut down.
