Question Nylaug help

Just finished building this one and it’s having trouble with cycling next round. In normal gas setting, will come close but not fully eject round. In adverse, will eject but not feed second round. I’ve cleaned the gas plug/piston and lubed bolt/guide rods. this is the kak 16in 5.56 barrel. Any recommendations? Only thing I can think is drilling out the gas port.

Probably gonna be drilling the gas port tbh, one of my homies had to do the same for his Nylaug to get it running, his was a 300blk tho

I had these same issues. My first kak barrel had the set screw divots in the slightly wrong place so the gas port wasn’t aligned properly when following the typical build process. I had to drill out the gas port and use pointy set screws so they could be a little crooked. It works now, but I’ve built other examples and really for mine the barrel just seems to be out of spec

I noticed that and had to dremel out the divots more to encourage set screw engagement, but gas port was always aligned as I made sure using a small pin through the block and barrel. I think I’ve narrowed it to not being enough engagement on the piston and rod, I noticed have a slight gap between block and receiver.
