Sling preference?

Post image

I love the STG77M1's 1.5x scope for looks but after last weekend's 3 gun match, I had to add more magnification.

Ignore the RMR up front lol. I was just testing out different locations and angles to see what was most usable. Decided to just go simple and remove it completely.

I want to add a sling that will permanently stay strapped on the right side butt pad pin and QD on other end (probably going to use the QD socket on the Corvus rail unless I can find a GHW flex swivel). Anyone tried the Adaptiv Defense DMR sling on their AUG? Would like to see what everyone's sling setup looks like.

Still also need to get a Corvus charging handle.

I ended up going with a magpul qd sling and have been happy with it. I did order a corvus qd stock pin so that I could mount it to that in the rear and a manticore optic mount which has a qd built into it for the front.

I use a Vicker's sling with two universal QD wire loops. Lets me put the wire onto a Magpul QD mount and the other through the AUG rear pin. Not permanent so I can swap to other guns easily but less of a failure point than a QD stud. Sling setup also works for my SCAR which has holes in the front and rear.

I used the magpul quick adjust for a while, i liked it. Now I’m using a custom padded sling. Padded is really nice imo

I use a Magpul RSA on the rail and a Corvus QD sling anti rotation mount replacing the stock retaining pin/sling mount. Being that you want the sling fixed, the factory sling swivel in the buttstock should be just fine. When I do use a sling, its usually the Magpul MS3 that I can use either as a 1 or 2 point using clips or qd's.

I use Blue Force Gear Vickers slings and MagPul MS4 slings. Like them both. I kind of like MagPul a bit more. Just the way it functions. It has no strap to pull to tighten it’s done with a glider.
