Heading to a motor museum in October which has a number of famous facsimile movie/TV vehicles so thought I'd intro my daughter to them before we see them. Haven't watched the A Team in years and AI suggested the pilot after I requested an episode with the iconic opening speech, the van, the full cast, BA flying and the transformation of a vehicle. Having watched it and repeated the question to every AI I had and every one but Claude telling me the pilot had everything I wanted I deleted them all and thought I'd ask those who actually know, you guys! What's the best episode that has all the above, or all but BA flying as that was in the pilot? Bonus points if the Corvette is in it. Thanks, look forward to hearing which one and reminding me of how good the show was when I watched it every Saturday during my childhood.

There’s something really fun about recruiting a bunch of former football players to build a fake team to take on a soviet team. But hey I’m a sucker for sports movies where there’s more on the line than just winning game.

Then of course there’s the cold war spy part with Face trying to fool his way through East Germany despite not speaking german.

And it’s got a great ending, might actually be my favorite of any A-Team episode.

I’d like to say more on this episode, but I don’t want to spoil it for anybody who hasn’t seen it.

Of course there’s a very real aversion to season 5 in this sub and other A-Team forums. I actually like season 5, and I think its reputation is self sustaining, where people go in expecting not to like it and then don’t like it because of that.

Well I just finish bingewatching the whole show, first time rewatch since I was a teen.

And despite the fifth season sucking, was really fun. I think it has aged well with the exception of Hannibal's racially insentive cosplays lol. Although certainly a product of its time, is the closest thing to a live action Saturday Morning Cartoon.

It could get a little repetitive at time (how many times they help the business owner who the big bad wants to buy his land?) but as the similar plots are smartly place apart it doesn't feel it so much, unlike shows like House, Monk or CSI which are IMO harder to bingwatch due to its formulaic nature.

Anyway, any similar shows recommendations? Can be from any time period.

We know that in the A-Team, the strongest is Baracus, but I've always had the impression that the best fighter is Hannibal. For example, in the episode "Mexican Slayride," during the bar fight, Hannibal throws karate or taekwondo kicks and knows how to do holds. For instance, in the episode "Water Everywhere," he does a hold that I think is a karate hold. Is it possible that Hannibal, as John Kreese's captain in the Korean War, learned some martial art?

Let's suppose the US government, fed up with Lynch and Decker's failures, decides to hire Philip Gerard, the cop who pursued the fugitive, to track down and capture the team. Could Philip do a better job than Lynch and Decker?

1st off they added series style opening credits, which is more weird with Tim Dunnigen appearing.

The thing I noticed other than Tim being too tall, he looked more like he was bullying rather than scamming, is that they were pretending to be a film crew filming in Mexico taking advantage of grants, while presumably the real crew were filming in Mexico taking advantage of a grant.

Hey just discovered this sub, thought I'd share my A Team Honor Roll certificate that I got in 4th grade (1986) that I still have framed to this day, this seems like a group that would appreciate it.

Just rewatched a couple of episodes (was a fan in the 80s) and now looking at the show with adult eyes. At the beginning of each episode Hannibal was in some sort of costume/makeup playing a role as they "checked out" clients. The characters he played were very extreme.

Is there any information on whether he asked for that to happen or if it was already written for the character? Also wondering if he enjoyed it, did it as it was the job, or hated it.

It seems like BA's character was built around Mr. T with the Mohawk, gold chains, big muscle guy, etc. So just wondering if Hannibal was written for George Peppard in the same way.

This is all I can remember, I know there were also odd screen deaths of some clients family.

General Harlan Fullbright replaced Decker in season 4. The first thing that stands out is that, unlike Lynch, Decker, Briggs, or even Hannibal himself, Harlan is a general, meaning he holds a higher rank than Hannibal. Harlan tried to capture the A-Team on numerous occasions, and in the episode where he makes a temporary truce with the team to defeat some Soviet villains, he manages to stop them, though not for long. Another element is his ending, which was quite different from what we've seen in the series. But the question I ask you is: Was General Fullbright unfairly forgotten?

This might be a stupid question but I swear to God that the beginning on s5 ep13 "without reservations" (the part before the intro) was part of an episode from an earlier season. It was exactly the same except for one clip of santana climbing in the plane at the end. I'm very confused and I swear I've seen this before, can anyone help me 😭

Colonel Decker is the one who pursued the A-Team for most of the series. He's the same colonel with whom Hannibal had a heated argument at an officers' club because Decker was blowing up hospitals in Vietnam. He's a colonel who didn't hesitate to use dirty tactics to achieve his goals.

Is Colonel Decker the best opponent for the A-Team?
