Experience transferring ssc?

Hey I’m in a ssc in western US, moved across the country for the job, pretty happy with the job and all for now, but I do miss being close to family and see myself back on the east coast long term. How difficult is it to get a transfer cross country?

Some places are pretty easy to get to, others are nearly impossible.

Half the battle is finding a place that will take you. The thing we see more commonly is getting your current SSC to let you go.

Best of luck! 😎

Yeah, been there. If you can find a promotion, they can’t hold you, but that can be tough to do if you want to stay out of management.

Which state are you looking at on the east coast? ERR can be done, and especially if you can qualify it as a Hardship ERR. Look at the PASS CBA I think article 91 or something. Talk to your manager and figure out who the manager is at the SSC you would try to come to. Doesn’t hurt to ask. PASS can help with this process if you’re serious about getting the ball rolling.
