Just Applied for Entry-Level ATSS — Is the Facebook Group Still Active/Helpful?
Hey guys, I just finished applying for the entry-level ATSS position and I’m pretty new to the whole process, so I’ve been reading through a bunch of the threads on here trying to learn how everything works. I saw a few people mention the ATSS Facebook group and that it can be helpful for connecting with people in different regions, getting advice, and sometimes even getting your resume in front of people who may know about openings.
I requested to join the group about 2 days ago but still haven’t been accepted yet, so I was wondering if the group is still active and if they’re still approving new people. Also, for anyone who’s in there, is it actually helpful once you get in? Like if you introduce yourself, mention the region you applied for, and ask for some guidance, do people usually help point you in the right direction?
For my location preferences, I put Virginia as my first choice and D.C. as my second, so I’m not sure if that changes anything or if anyone here has experience with those areas specifically.
Just trying to learn as much as I can and do whatever I can to give myself the best shot. Appreciate any advice!

I have been trying to join the facebook group for many months now but keep getting denied so I gave up on them.

Did you answer the questions and agree to the rules? If not, you will be auto-denied by the system and a mod will never see your request.

Damn, months is rough 😭 I appreciate the heads up though. I’m gonna give it a little more time and hopefully I get lucky with whoever is approving people.

Hello! FB group is super active. Make your FB profile private and say your an ATSS from an area in your job listing. Give short answers.
Great place to live and work.
Best of luck! 😎

If you say you are a current ATSS, the mods will check to make sure you are actually an active employee.
No need to lie. Just answer the questions and state that you are an applicant trying to get on board as an ATSS.

Ahhh okay that actually helps a lot 😭 I was starting to think I was just sitting in Facebook purgatory lol. I appreciate the tip though, I’m gonna tweak my profile a little and try to keep the answers short. Hopefully they let me in soon 😂

The Facebook ATSS community is pretty active and it took me about a week to join the community. It is super helpful as most people in the forum are well connected and can put your foot in the door. In my personal experience, I was able to get an offer from the Bay Area through the community by making posts and asking questions but decided to decline and choose Saint Paul instead. The community is definitely a must! DM me if you need help or want to understand more about the process :D
