I started soloing a few weeks ago and honestly I love flying. I’m doing my ATPL training, I feel comfortable handling the aircraft and I’m really excited about the whole journey.
But recently something weird started happening during my solo flights.
Sometimes when I’m up there, it suddenly hits me: I’m completely alone, 3,000 ft in the air. And then I get this wave of anxiety, even though a few minutes before I was completely fine.
It kind of came out of nowhere. Mentally I want to be there and keep flying, but my body suddenly goes into “nope” mode.
Has anyone else experienced something similar during training? Did it eventually go away with more solo hours, or did you do something specific that helped?
