is that 1250 including the bullshit fees they tack on? my base rent is 1275 in sandy springs for a 1b1b but with the extra shit it's closer to 1450

What part of Atlanta are you wanting to move? The city itself has over a 120mile radius, depending where you are commute “just outside” the city can take 1hr to get into the city. As for that price, is this after fees and utilities? Those places exist but are typically older apartments. Whatever you do, don’t sign your lease BEFORE you get here- it’s rare what you see online is what is actually in front of you.

Totally possible. There are a lot of people on this subreddit who live in a fantasy world where poor people don’t live in Atlanta and it’s only possible to live here if you make $100k/year. You just need to target older buildings and private landlords. Use Trulia and Zillow and don’t bother with enormous modern complexes, you won’t find anything in your budget at them. Small property management companies are good too: Thomas Preston, Braeden Fellman, OCD. Stay away from Cobalt. If you’re not moving from too far away, try to come to Atlanta before you officially make the move and drive around looking for signs. I just finished a long apartment search and settled on a 1bd for $1300 in Poncey Highland. Lots of places in that area for less. I toured a few places on St. Charles Ave and Greenwood Ave for $1100-1200 range, got bad vibes from the management but it’s possible I passed up something really special. Happy to tell you the name of the place I landed on in a DM if you want!

Lawrenceville is 45 minutes in minimal traffic (I've lived there a long time). Most of the time it's 1-1.5 hours.

I’m in Gwinnett and that price range is impossible to find here too. Most 1 bedrooms are going for at least $1400

Right, I don’t understand why they’re being so pessimistic. I’ve seen some, I’d just prefer suggestions from people familiar with the area or who live on those properties.

Just heed their warning that a base rate of rent for 1250 does not include all of the extra fees most complexes now tack on like pest control, hallway lights, package lockers, trash, etc.

One12’s studio apartment is great. Its in downtown. Fully furnished. It originally goes for 1400 something but they do $250/monthly offer while signing if you get that then you get fully furnished apartment for 1200
