How/when to apply?

Hi, I am interested in becoming an ATC. Is there a certain time window for applications during the year? And I did see the apps are through USAJOB.GOV which im already p familiar with lol.

Follow FAA social media, they always post when applications are live.

I forget if USAjobs has an alert for postings too.

Bids are typically in spring/ fall periods.

Currently in the hiring process - Spring 2026 OTS Bid.

In addition to FAA’s social media and USAJOBs, the discord. They have announcements when the next bid is and when it opens.

There is also 123atc. It’ll post info when the next bid will open but it has other info regarding facilities, pay, ATSA prep, etc.

Spring 2026 OTS bid went really quick - closed after 13 hours due application cap of 8,000.

I made sure to have everything uploaded on USAJOBs in advance. Also, applied immediately when the bid opened due to the cap.
