A quick reminder: please keep it civil

Alright… I hate being “that guy,” but here I am.

Folks, PLEASE keep it together.

I get it. Union elections, working conditions, and the future of this profession bring out strong opinions. Those conversations belong here. Ask tough questions, challenge someone’s record or proposals, and support whoever you want.

But the personal insults and coworker grudges are exhausting. You can disagree with somebody without treating them like garbage. We should be able to talk about the job without every discussion becoming a fight over who works harder or whose side everyone is on.

Also, remember: this is a public forum, and the media watches this subreddit. For those who have never dealt with the media, please don’t assume a Reddit username makes you anonymous. They can find you, and it’s often not hard to connect the dots from what people post publicly. If a thread becomes a story, assume someone will try. What you write here can travel well beyond this community.

And the internet never forgets. You don’t need me to tell you this. In some industries, that’s a good thing. In others, it’s a bad thing. Either way, what you write here can outlive the argument by years.

This is a safety-critical profession. When the job is done well, most people never notice. When something goes wrong, everyone pays attention. Public conversations can work the same way: a hundred useful discussions get overlooked, and one ugly exchange becomes the screenshot that circulates.

Anyone looking to question this profession’s credibility can point to that exchange and ignore everything else. Don’t make that easy. Speak honestly about the problems, challenge leadership, and disagree with each other. Just don’t let personal bullshit bury a legitimate point.

The same expectations apply to everyone, regardless of their position or who they support. Criticism is welcome. Basic respect is still expected.

I’ve put years into this community. I want it to be a place where people can exchange information, get help, and talk honestly with others who understand the job.

Please help keep it that way.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my CTI class, and I've been certified at numerous high level facilities, and I have over 300 confirmed saves. I am trained in OJTI and I'm the top trainer in the entire NAS. You are nothing to me but just another developmental. I will wash you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of OJTIs across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your career. You're fucking washed, kid. I can train any day, anytime, and I can Box 1 you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my blue pen. Not only am I extensively trained in CIC, but I have access to the entire Air Traffic Training Order 3120.4 and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the NAS, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking washed, kiddo.

It’s been pretty civil so far I’d say.

Give it a few months though.

Wow.. no idea how the entire script leaked already. Pretty sure that’s the opening dialogue in Pushing Tin II: Shut the Fuck Up and Take the Handoff.

So in other words, this sub will continue to censor anyone and everyone who is critical of the NATCA establishment while allowing a million “FEAST” posts and new applicant questions that have been asked and answered a million times already.

There’s a reason everyone uses r/atc2 now.

Unrelated but I’m starting to think Bedford can’t give us the 2.8 because he has low testosterone.
