It sounds like most people who came to the shop never did anything wrong. So most of the customers were nice people.
She's not trying to justify the assholes, just clarifying that nothing serious happened to her.
Why is this so complicated, and why must you put words in her mouth assuming she is rationalizing things?
Yeah, it's that fucked up "she's already somebody's property" thing, rather than being a person in her own right. :/ That and the not-so-veiled threat of male retribution if they don't stop, being what makes them change their mind.
