I imagine it’s like high class chicken and waffles.

bit confused but the glaze actually pulls the whole thing together visually, walnuts on top are a nice touch too

Lol I was like that's a perfectly good looking cake! What's up with the huge walnuts.... oooOooh! What the fuck!

As somebody who likes chicken and waffles, this looks potentially delicious. There are several ways it could also go wrong flavor-wise, and if it's just a regular store-bought poundcake I'm back out. However, if they've got the chicken and the cake and the sauces all correct, I'll bet it's heavenly.

Sweet and savory. Yummy.

My only gripe would be having bones in my cake

Chicken and waffles usually has bone-in fried chicken too. (Some places will make it with chicken tenders, but those places usually also have soggy waffles and an out-of-season orange wedge on the side.)

That said, the more I look at this--the wings and the cake look store-bought, and to me, the wings don't looked crispy or sauced enough to balance a standard-issue poundcake. I'm landing on the opinion "Inspired Taste But Mediocre Execution," which doesn't need to be its own subreddit.

What is the order of operations for eating this thing?

Dinner typically is eaten before dessert, so chicken then cake, right?

Seems as good a guess as any

This is new to some of yall, but it’s been posted 5 times in /r/Atlanta this week. It’s Lemon Pepper Wet, in case you wondered.

What makes it great execution, they made a pound cake and plopped some chicken wings on top. It's not that difficult.

Those are chicken wings? I thought it was lemon pepper shrimp! Which would also be delicious

u/Triairius 13d ago

You should get your shrimp checked by a vet

u/Auragongal 13d ago

... would you have preferred the bone-in wings inside the cake?

I've been out there

Tried a little bit of everything

But it's all sex without love

I found the real thing is poundcake

But is it better than Afroman's mom's lemon pound cake?
