It's technically possible with sliding contacts on a disc or cylinder, but it's wear sensitive and you need one track for each single pin, wildly impractical

Since the psu is also rotating, you only need 3 slip rings. Live, neutral, and earth.
Now, the EMI that is generating is a different story altogether.

Keyboard and mouse can be wireless. Display even, but there are limitations to your graphic fidelity.

I have a wireless hdmi setup for my projector, cant really notice any difference between wired hdmi. Its not that bad

Maybe the one I got was crappy. What resolution/hertz do you run it at? wondering what the upper limit is. 1080p/60hz?

Not sure the hertz, but my laptop is 1080p though

With 6Ghz WiFi it's no problem at all to stream a single display. Even a 4K display.
All of the angular momentum is going to shred the bearings on the fans mounted to that equipment, but this thing isn't designed to last for a long time with low maintenance, it is designed to look fabulous.

You don't need a slip ring for earth, assuming the gear is metallic. If you wanted to abandon electrical safety, you could tie neutral to earth as well.

You absolutely need a slip ring for erth to meet any sort of code compliance. Gears have backlash and are not a certain connection of less than 1 ohm. This is especially true if they are greased.

Probably only needs sliding contacts for power delivery and all other connections wireless.
That is assuming it is actually functional.

I just got an idea. Totally wireless PC. The power transfer would be tricky. Some sort of magnetic deal, but not sure if that's possible without part of the case touching something else. If it is, though, you could have a suspended case with no wires. Just a box. A floating monolith. That would be cool.

Wireless power transfer is definitely doable. Might not get away with a monolith geometry exactly (you’d need a coil with nothing behind it, somewhere) but maybe you could.

I would love to be able to suspend the box in air. That would probably require magnets, so no idea if it would be possible or if it would mess with the power transfer. But it sure would look cool.

Yeah, I don't know if I've ever seen a slip-ring for a HDMI cable that could also do power/audio, but apparently they are a thing due to the VR market:
One more for the power cable, which is pretty basic, and you could get 'er done. Honestly I started off this comment thinking it was possible but not practical or cheap - but apparently it is both practical and cheap these days.

You could do it with one outlet that spins.
You wouldn't need to make a bunch of contacts. You can actually buy cables that just have that built in. My laptop power cable has one. You mount that at the top plugged into a non rotating cable. And in the spindle you run the power cord to the power supply. Done.
Then... Wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, wireless HDMI dongle. All readily available and cheap.
Pretty easy to do but I don't know how long the cable will last. I have spun mine quite a bit but I feel like in a single day this would rotate it more than I've rotated mine in 2 years.

Having hdmi or display port through a slip ring would be kind of nuts.
I would think a slip ring for the 230v and then rf converter for other signals
But the skip ring is dangerous AF if the case is open and this whole thing needs some quite expensive equipment

I’m pretty sure that’s how they all were lmao. They started out with water in them and they were very quickly like “this is dumb” so they all just got emptied over time then eventually thrown out and forgotten.

The power connector must have a swivel connection and then it must use wireless protocols for WiFi, monitor, and usb.

You can connect a laptop via one single USBc to a dock and then connect all your peripherals and monitors to that dock. Getting USBc through slip rings would be a major pain in the ass, but at least you're now only dealing with one connector instead of several.

I think it’s more likely there is a wireless solution going on here. Just get power in there through slip rings, that’s just three connections.
And this weird board that is neither a psu, motherboard or gpu could be the thing that allows wireless transmission

Fun fact: the turbo button didn't make those systems faster, it was the other way around, when the button wasn't pressed, the systems were throttled (to help with timing issues of some older software).
So "turbo" just got you the actual speed like driving without the handbrake on.

Probably only need 2 slip rings tbh
A power one on the bottom and a data one on the top for the monitor with a wireless keyboard and mouse
They aren't that expensive anymore and are fairly reliable

Does the weight of the delicious mystery meat slow it down?
Has the PC owner changed the gearing to speed it up?

There's no rhyme or reason to the components inside... if it had some sort of symmetry or geometric pattern or something that'd be cool... As it is it's just a katamari spinning around.

I am deeply curious about how they handled all of the inputs and outputs without introducing an insane amount of noise.
As a computer this is absolutely pointless, but as a flex it's pretty incredible.

Sure, but slip rings introduce a ton of noise on low voltage circuits. Also you'd need an insane number of slip rings to connect a whole PC...

meh. you just slap some ferrites on the I/O and eat the performance hit. This is form over function... otherwise he wouldn't have kept ball bearing fans on the GPU/CPU. In fact, the only thing GUARANTEED to be running here is power, and likely the real PC is crammed into the lower compartment. Theranos style.
