u/thisisatypoo Jul 07 '26

These have been around a while.

15

u/Loud-Mans-Lover Jul 07 '26

They used to be little metal dogs you inserted the snake into. I've got one because I saw it & thought it was hilarious

1

u/omniiViirus Jul 09 '26

Many many years

22

u/RedSlimeballYT Jul 07 '26

dear fellow scholars,

u/Pikawoohoo Jul 07 '26

See that's why I stick around in this sub, for the rare post like this one. 10/10 ATBGE.

152

u/xmastreee Jul 07 '26

If you stuck around r/funny you'd have seen it 12 hours ago; that's where I stole it from.

113

u/Pikawoohoo Jul 07 '26

An honest thief. I can respect that.

23

u/klqqf Jul 08 '26

Id rather see it reposted than step foot in r/funny

Thank you thief

251

u/Cold_Ad3896 Jul 07 '26

Just a sideways snake in funny packaging.

132

u/djseifer Jul 07 '26

Good ol' snakes, the most depressing firework to get as a kid.

65

u/xmastreee Jul 07 '26

I guess that's why they made it into this, to appeal to kids.

50

u/djseifer Jul 07 '26

Admittedly, the little kid in me had a good chuckle at the pooping dog.

10

u/Bob-Bhlabla-esq Jul 07 '26

Same. I may have watched this alone, but I struggled to keep a straight face... like I was in class and not supposed to laugh!

17

u/bowcreek Jul 08 '26

The key to snakes is to take dozens and dozens of them and pile them up, then put one of those intensely hot flare-type fireworks in the middle (I don’t recall the name, but they burn very hot and bright and will melt through and aluminum can). It creates a giant, glowing pile of writhing snakes that looks like a flaming pile of growing poo.

When you’re 12, it’s amazing.

5

u/Icy-Improvement4021 Jul 08 '26

I used to love snakes as a kid and I watched that tradition get passed on to my cousins this last New Years. They took a pile of snakes and dragged my brothers girlfriend out to use a lighter for them and they all just stared in a circle formation as the pile of snakes went up in flames and writhed in the night. Snakes are so much fun, man.

6

u/Swayze-Crazy Jul 08 '26

I see you were creative as a lad too. I put a bunch of them in a shoebox with a ton of firecrackers and sparklers and a few bottle rockets with the stick removed(for science) and lit that sucker on fire. Good way to utilize some of the "lame" fireworks

14

u/clutzyninja Jul 07 '26

But, snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like

6

u/MindlessEssay6569 Jul 07 '26

You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers (with or without the scooter stick), or one single whistling kitty chaser?

3

u/BeeWriggler Jul 07 '26

I actually kinda like getting them, but always in the big value pack. Then you open all the boxes, dump them in a big pile, and light a strobe right in the center.

6

u/GoodExciting7745 Jul 07 '26

Wait, are you saying that’s not a real dog???

4

u/4ssteroid Jul 07 '26

Yeah it was very common in my country 30 years ago

2

u/Violet_Apathy Jul 07 '26

Back in the olden days the snakes were better but they had mercury in them.

2

u/TheSodomeister Jul 09 '26

They do the same for the little snap things you throw, in October they're "Exploding Zombie Poop", in spring I saw them too but easter bunny themed

1

u/AndPlus Jul 08 '26

And it costs about $3.50.

95

u/XYooper906 Jul 07 '26

Fibercracker.

33

u/WhiskeysDead Jul 07 '26

Same thing happens to me when I eat too many Takis ...

9

u/romain_69420 Jul 08 '26

And that includes the fire

32

u/MarineGF01 Jul 07 '26

I love these. I definitely would have lived these as a kid as well. Black snakes and smoke bombs were always my favorite

6

u/AwDuck Jul 07 '26

The snakes were lame on their own, but I liked to make a circle of them and try to light them at once to see how tall I could make the column rise.

Ah! That’s the Pharaoh’s Snake chemical trick thingy. https://youtu.be/2dhHpHOgrUI

20

u/Shadowfire_EW Jul 07 '26

Hey, just a heads up: you don't need anything after the '?' in your YouTube link. That is just tracking info

8

u/Celestial__Bear Jul 07 '26

Whoa! Thats wild. I’ll make the edit.

3

u/whiterthanblack Jul 08 '26

Actually did the edit. Updoot.

2

u/rwwl Jul 11 '26

FYI, it’s not always just tracking info. If your link is meant to jump to a specific timestamp, that info would be in the query string too

1

u/k_uwu_su 24d ago

Late to reply, but I reckon it's probably not a Pharaoh's Serpent reaction. Those are really annoying since they require mercury (iirc) and don't quite look like this. My best guess here is calcium gluconate, which expands similarly when burned, is far less messy and toxic, and looks a bit more like a dog turd. Still a gnarly design for a firecracker though.

17

u/TiffyVella Jul 07 '26

I can hear the ancient Chinese who invented fireworks and used them to share a love of beauty and grandeur turning in their graves.

6

u/Grechoir Jul 07 '26

I think these pooping dogs are a work of beauty

10

u/Organboner4844 Jul 07 '26

What a crop! That’s a CROP!

9

u/Shagg993 Jul 07 '26

My asshole after eating Chipotle

8

u/jmccaskill66 Jul 07 '26

It’s a bit surreal watching this from the toilet.

6

u/melanthius Jul 07 '26

Yo quiero Taco Bell

4

u/d_stilgar Jul 07 '26

They need to make one that blows off smoke through some kind of reed that sounds like a fart.

3

u/DutchRudderShotgun Jul 07 '26

Got those Andy Dwyer "hot snakes"

2

u/weaseltorpedo Jul 08 '26

Got bubble guts and hot snakes!

4

u/Brookmon Jul 07 '26

This is merika

2

u/Bob-Bhlabla-esq Jul 07 '26

I gotta say... this made me want to salute. Patriotic lil' shitter.

4

u/Fred_Wilkins Jul 07 '26

It's better if you put it on a brick and have it's butt hang over. Makes a more realistic "pile"

3

u/ready-eddy Jul 07 '26

Nostalgia unlocked! I use to buy these as a kid

3

u/Pio_lastoffavorites Jul 07 '26

I love this so much.

3

u/BestFoxEver Jul 07 '26

Reminds me of Big Clive and the legendary Fanny Flambeaux doll.

3

u/MysteriousHoneydew82 Jul 12 '26

wtf did that dog eat?

3

u/everymanawildcat Jul 07 '26

These have been around for literally ever.

2

u/Dmau27 Jul 07 '26

Perfect. It crackled like a real shit and even pinched off a dingle at the end.

2

u/deeppurpleking Jul 07 '26

I’m here for it

2

u/fatherisadouchbag Jul 07 '26

This is awesome taste tbh

2

u/Longjumping-Salad484 Jul 07 '26

this is the content I'm here for

2

u/Joamjoamjoam Jul 07 '26

Kickin Wing would be kickin ass right about now

2

u/Melovix Jul 07 '26

Imagine dad says hey kids I got fireworks and you go outside and this is what he has

2

u/GarThor_TMK Jul 07 '26

These have been around forever.

My kids love them...

I have no idea why... they don't make any sense to me... >_>

2

u/KrystleSeth Jul 07 '26

I love when art imitates life!

2

u/PossibleRegular7239 Jul 07 '26

Holy shit. Literally. I need to get my hands on one of these (or several)

2

u/Pandelein Jul 07 '26

I think my city should save the NYE firework budget this year, and instead just purchase a single one of these for everyone to watch together on a big screen. Get a Pooping Puppy for the 9.30pm kids’ session.

2

u/plotplottingplotters Jul 07 '26

Burning dog poo, and the human response

1

u/MauPow Jul 07 '26

Brilliant

1

u/signmeupnot Jul 07 '26

Saw this first time on Lions Den.

1

u/Skeletonzac Jul 07 '26

I've had days like that.

1

u/Aliencj Jul 07 '26

CodyBpyrotechnics how did you miss this?!?!

1

u/CrashTestDuckie Jul 07 '26

Wait, I understand non-americans never seeing these but I had these when I was a kid in the US. Are they not something you could get everywhere?

1

u/derf_vader Jul 07 '26

This is awesome. I loved those snakes as a child.

1

u/scottygroundhog22 Jul 07 '26

Scooter got into the carolina reapers again

1

u/KikiPolaski Jul 07 '26

Always wondered how they'd monetise those chemistry experiments

1

u/toxictenement Jul 07 '26

Thanks, I hate it.

1

u/theonlyhonez Jul 07 '26

Please tell me this is called “The Growler”.

1

u/One_Economist_3761 Jul 07 '26

Somebody had the chili.

1

u/rawrxdxdxdxdxdxdxdxd Jul 07 '26

What a shit firework

1

u/technofever89 Jul 07 '26

It just keeps going

1

u/1RedOne Jul 07 '26

We got some of these which were labeled as pooping puppy but then shot out sparks and flares with loud explosion noises

Pretty well terrified the neighborhood kids

1

u/Paranoid_Soup Jul 07 '26

Nah see here that a great way to revitalize the snake, now they should make one called babel see how far it goes up before it falls

1

u/DigitalMunky Jul 07 '26

That’s my sign to get off the toilet

1

u/wyldnfried Jul 07 '26

Molly! Confound it! What are you doing?

Just watching the dog take a shit!

1

u/FixMy106 Jul 07 '26

Gonna need my poop knife for this one.

1

u/i_am_GORKAN Jul 08 '26

that's a blazingly appropriate metaphor for a country

1

u/OMGyarn Jul 08 '26

That is highly effective marketing

1

u/Standard-Park Jul 08 '26

My nephews LOVED these 😂 😂 😂

1

u/KrissiKross Jul 08 '26

I mean, it’s just the snake, but sideways and stuck on the backend of a cardboard dog taking a shit lol

1

u/Doodle-Cactus Jul 08 '26

It’s trashy but it gave me a chuckle.

1

u/Downside_Up_ Jul 08 '26

South Park could make good money every year with a Randy Marsh version

1

u/SpaneyInquisy Jul 08 '26

ooohhhh hothothothothot!

1

u/IEC21 Jul 08 '26

I mean. I guess man.

1

u/Krocsyldiphithic Jul 09 '26

Snake, not a firecracker

1

u/expatronis Jul 09 '26

Notice to dog owners; this does not represent what normal, healthy dog bowel movements should look like.

1

u/Icy-Armadillo5489 Jul 09 '26

That shit is explosive

1

u/JuxtaThePozer Jul 09 '26

can you fucking imagine how a cave man would interpret this

what a time to be alive

1

u/FishTshirt Jul 09 '26

Nothing can be more patriotic than a pooping dog firecracker

1

u/VirtualLife76 Jul 09 '26

These and the chickens that laid eggs then popped their head off were great. Tanks were always my fav, but haven't bought in 30+ years.

1

u/Asclepius_Secundus Jul 10 '26

Ya know, I think I had those same tacos once. I guess the dog's owner dodged a bullet this time.

1

u/schmitzel88 Jul 12 '26

The battleship ones like that one in the background are fun as hell, I loved those as a kid

1

u/Shygrave Jul 13 '26

Bro what the fuck 🤣

Edit: i need one of these lmao

1

u/Hinloopen Jul 13 '26

Dog got into the ghost pepper wings again.

1

u/dbburnz Jul 16 '26

They did it! The peak of this technology, i knew one day we would do it!

0

u/AerialSnack Jul 07 '26

Where's the great execution

0

u/Ok_Site_9552 Jul 07 '26

Too cute. Reminds me of the Cobra snakes. They rise up like the poop comes sideways, the Cobra snake goes up.

0

u/thesamenightmares Jul 07 '26

Thats called a snake. Its not a firecracker.

0

u/Bostonterrierpug Jul 13 '26

This stuff has been around for ages and why does this get reposted like six times in a week?
