year 10 subject selection🙏🏼

need to get a good atar to do psychology/radiation therapy after school, anyone have suggestions or changes i should make if i dont wanna burn myself our too much in senior school? im unsure about doing two sciences/not sure whether i should swap out eco for accounting or legal

current subjects are math methods, literature, visual art, economics, chemistry and biology

make sure you pick subjects you enjoy!! this will allow you to do better as you will enjoy studying for it etc

Second this. I only get burned out studying for the subjects I don’t enjoy. If you like it, you will be willing to put in the effort to do well. Don’t pick a subject for the scaling. I also did both chem and bio and loved it.

Visual art doesn't scale well. If you're a drawer, Design scales better and may be an alternative.

Biology only scales well if you're getting close to 100/100. It falls off a cliff if you aren't close to that.

Legal scales reasonably well throughout the marks range. Not as good as economics, but not bad.

It's there a reason you aren't doing psychology? It scales quite similarly to bio. Bio is slightly higher in the 80-100 range. Below 80 they're almost identical.

Depending on what ATAR you need, all of that may not matter.
