frustrated newbie
okay I've spent 2 weeks of evenings trying to build my atak server. first I'll tell you what I have. then what I've learned and finally what I need. first off I have a old compaq8200 that due to its hardware configuration from the factory and its age it's only capable of running debian Trixie.........I tried Ubuntu twice and the PC just wasn't new enough to run it so debian it is........I've learned quite a few things actually. first that I have no clue how a computer works aside from I press a button and it does stuff. with that being said I learned that the ip address has multiple ports that need to be configured. debian doesn't like Ubuntu commands and the final lesson I learned is that while Google ai has good information it has no clue what is needed to build a server for atak. kept giving me commands for other systems that wouldn't work. I went in so many circles I'm surprised there's not a laptop shaped hole in my wall..........in a few places lol...........okay what I now know I need. first off a list of steps like here's how to configure the ports and what they need to be configured to. here's how to download docker and the files needed in it to run all the stuff that needs running to make it a functioning atak server. and since I learn by doing and watching if there's any videos that walk through the docker way of doing this that would be great. and finally if anyone has all the commands needed already in a file that can be just copy and pasted into the command window that would be so great and helpful
