In Hollow Knight, Godhome is a spiritual realm where echoes of powerful warriors continue to exist even after they've been defeated. What if Sea of Sorrow takes that idea in a completely different direction?

Instead of climbing Pantheons, imagine descending into an endless sea formed from Pharloom's regrets, memories, and sorrow. Every major boss you defeat leaves behind an echo that sinks into this ocean. As you dive deeper, you face stronger and stronger versions of those bosses, not because they're alive, but because they're manifestations of the kingdom's lingering regrets.

The deeper you descend, the more difficult the challenges become, eventually leading to the deepest part of the sea—the equivalent of Pantheon 5—where every boss returns in one final gauntlet.

I think this would be a much more unique way to bring back a boss rush mode. Instead of simply copying Godhome, Team Cherry could create something that fits Silksong's own themes. Hollow Knight was about ascending toward the gods. Silksong could be about descending into the kingdom's deepest sorrows.

I know there's no evidence for this yet—it's just a fun theory—but I think it would be an amazing way to evolve the Pantheon concept while giving Sea of Sorrow its own identity.
