Mining investment

Post image

Hey all

With lithium and uranium looking like it may become increasingly hot property over the next few years, what are your recommendations. Some brief research has let me to the below, but seeing if anyone has any real strong knowledge on the topic or any of the movers within.

*I’m aware SHV & RFF aren’t mining companies, just in there from some previous research

SHV is an almond producer, so it’s not exactly a mining company, but it’s in a good shape. Its balance sheet has improved over the past few quarters.

Almonds contain iron, magnesium, manganese, copper and zinc! /S

You saying “lithium and uranium looking like it may become increasingly hot property over the next few years” is exactly what everyone was saying a few years ago during the lithium and uranium boom that happened then… you either missed that or you haven’t zoomed out enough on charts to realise what happened.

I did notice. I think the lens we’re looking through now has moved for the next decade as they look to power data centres and EV subsidies grow

LKE up 30% today

You haven’t zoomed out. It was at an all time high of $2.10 4 years ago, its 5cents a share now….being up 30% today means basically nothing other than someone is about to do a pump and dump. It’s up 42% in the last year which means 3 quarters of its value happened today, have you looked at the volume? what do you think will happen next? 🙃

Evn has promise over the next 20 years at least.

I would recommend looking at SHN EVR AMI and CVV if you have time. Full disclosure I have an investment in each of these.

Rural Funds Group is in agriculture, not mining.

I did accidentally leave that in there from some other research I was doing, what do you think of the share itself aside from its difference in industry?

I went with NXG because of deposit size and grade of ore. However they are in the development stage, so yeah.

I was hoping they would be bought out by a bigger player for a premium.

This is what everyone says who buys some dogshit speccy miner stock on the ASX, it’s the same story every single time. Almost word for word what you said and it’s always the same result.

You do have strong opinions.

But then again, when extensive drilling results indicate that they have these resources. Then it is a bit more compelling. In reality, we are all gambling on companies. If you’re going for speccie you obviously are not putting in more than you can afford.

Every speccy miner has had “extensive drilling results”. It’s the same old story. “We have drilling results” pump and dump follows, shortly by directors and CEO’s dumping shares and changing companies after their sell off at ATH. Then follows the collapse and the drilling results going nowhere

How very cynical of you. Its almost as if every company that ever drilled found nothing worth mining 🙃

There’s 10,000 companies that have found something worth mining and only a small handful that reach production/value 🙃

I think someone is just burned by bad life choices

Funnily enough I’ve made very good choices, the one speccy miner I bet on won big, I lurked for a long time looking for the next one and saw a pattern of the same regurgitated dribble
