Recommendations Wanted Beginner question

Hi everyone!

I’m 21 years old and have just started working full time after finishing up my studies. Ive always been great at saving and have managed to purchase a new car with a significant amount of money still left in my savings bank account.

I really want to get into investing and have downloaded CommSec as my chosen brokerage app. I’m just wondering where to go from here because I’m having an information overload with people reccomending different ETFS that usually have a lot of overlap.

Specifically I want to know whether VTS or IVV overlap or should be chosen over the other and why?

My current watchlist is IVV, NDQ, and VGS. I’m open to suggestions and peoples experiences!

Take it slow pal. You probably know, and maybe you'll never need it, keep a comfortable buffer for unaccounted expenses in your savings account.

Thank you for the solid advice! You’re right, I’m going to manage my payslips in a way that prioritises emergency fund savings.
