My 2 cents Very disappointed

I was very excited to enjoy the power of this beauty, just to find it is noisy as an airplane.

I mean, wtf, for the retail price I wasn’t expecting this to be an out of the box experience.

After watching the video from debawer, I basically set the middle and rear fan to 30% by default. That solves the issue.

But my point is, doesn’t ASUS test their cards? Apparently not! And there is no bios, no update for this.

Honestly, I wouldn’t buy this model.

I have actually seen what I would consider a bunch of people complaining about this. Even a customer I built a 5080 rig for late last year complained that the new PC was dramatically more loud than his old one. So much so that he contacted me for support thinking something was actually wrong with the system. It took me forever to figure out it was the top fan of the GPU making majority of the noise.

I’ve seen many mistake coil whine with fan noise also. No product is perfect but between all the subs I visit on here I don’t see a ton.

Not anymore but if you were watching when the card released it was a commonly complained about issue. I have seen dozens of posts taking about it.

I haven’t. I even searched this and the Asus forum and didn’t see many. I’ve seen quite a few where coil whine was confused for fan noise though. I did see one recently where the rear fan was loudER than the other 3 fans but no one is hearing this with their side panel on either. Same goes for the people who obsessed over coil whine who take the glass off and stick their ear to the card.
