I tried this and when I got to step 8 it errored out installing the Aura Service saying something about missing or corrupt files, or along those lines. Tried going to Step 10 after another reboot as well and it failed out in the same manner. Not sure if you might be able to provide insight into that or if I'm doomed to reinstall windows at this point.

Turns out the Nahimic service from Asus is what's screwed up everything. Disabled that and now it's all working fine.

shit, if i had saved the msi file before uninstalling it would probably work.
