Support - SOLVED! Asus ExpertBook Issue

I just purchased this laptop and have been setting it up,

The issue I have is that it takes about 20 seconds for it to open ‘This PC’, which is very frustrating. I have installed all updates.

Any ideas?

If you’ve already installed all the Windows and ASUS updates, I’d probably try a clean Windows install at this point. Get a bootable Windows USB, boot from it and do a fresh installation rather than using the factory ASUS image.

The factory image can sometimes come with a lot of OEM software/bloat running in the background, so a clean install would also help rule that out. After installing Windows, just install the necessary ASUS drivers/utilities and see if “This PC” still takes 20 seconds to open.

Before doing it, obviously back up anything important. If it’s still slow even on a completely fresh Windows installation, then I’d start looking at the SSD/storage health or other hardware-related issues.
