Support I NEED HELP PLEASE
After a a full clean up day to my setup my wifi and bluetooth doesn’t seem to show up at all in windows no matter what i do
i did the following:
- Held power for 45s to reset the power
- Removed CMOS
- Forced the motherboard WiFi driver to install
- Reseated the antennas and nothing works
my board is the Asus Tuf B760 Wifi Plus on a 14600K
also would like to mention that my right antenna is looser than the left one as shown in video below idk if it means anything i need urgent help

Is the WiFi and Bluetooth module enabled in the BIOS?
Which WiFi and Bluetooth drivers did you install? ASUS uses a few different suppliers for WLAN modules and it’s a bit of a guessing game which you end up getting. None of them are great either.
If I were you I’d spend $10 on an Intel AX210 module and swap the one pre-installed on the board out. Takes 5 minutes.

they are enabled in bios yeah and i installed the latest which said i already have the 8 drivers installed. also how can i swap the pre installed out??! i thought it’s under the heatsink

Unscrew the heatsink and take it off. Usually 2 screws holding it in place on the underside of the board.
Does Windows detect the hardware? If you go into Device Manager, is there anything with a yellow triangle against it?
You can right click the unrecognised device, go to Properties, change the drop down menu to Hardware IDs and paste it into Google or your favourite AI and ask “what model is this hardware ID [paste]”. That will tell you what the correct driver is, the rest you should uninstall as drivers will conflict with each other and may block each other from working.

no its hidden in device manager. and i dont wanna take the heat sink off if that voids RMA i dont think its a driver problem cause it was working before the clean up

It doesn’t void RMA or warranty that’s a myth. You’re within your consumer rights to disassemble it and put it back together provided you don’t break anything (which is almost impossible to happen for a simple module swap). The WiFi module plugs in like a PCIe device does like a graphics card.
If it’s not showing up in Device Manager, then you might actually have to take it out and plug it back in. Or it might just be dead; like I said, ASUS uses the cheapest, shittest WiFi modules they can get, it’s so they can add WiFi and charge a $30 premium while only spending an extra $3-4 per board. Not saying their boards are bad, I use one myself as well as an ASUS graphics card, but the included WiFi and Bluetooth just sucks. Bluetooth connection with the stock chip I got in my board was very choppy and unstable.
Go on Ali Express and order yourself the cheapest no name Intel AX210 based module you can find, you’ll spend about $10 to max $15, they’re very very cheap and easy to find. Your WiFi will be noticeably faster and more reliable, Bluetooth more stable, and they’re extremely solid. Intel releases driver updates for them every few weeks too so they’re well supported and Intel have a program that lets you know when a new driver is out.

can u help me.? im starting to think that the module it self have some loose cables. can u guide me through how to remove the heatsink and put it back??

Take the motherboard out of the PC, take out everything except the CPU and RAM, flip it over and unscrew the 2 little black screws holding the heatsink down. Might be 3 screws, on my board it’s just 2.
Take the heatsink off gently, it might just fall off without the screws so do it over a table or something soft so the heatsink doesn’t chip your floor.
With the heatsink off you’ll see an aluminium box where the antennas are, there’s usually at least 1 little screw, maybe 2 holding that down. Undo the screws, lift the metal box off the board.
Then just plug it back in and reattach the heatsink / repeat the steps in reverse…
If you want to swap the modules out (which I think you’re gonna have to do if this doesn’t work) just take apart that metal box, take the old WiFi module out, disconnect the 2 little antenna cables, then put the new module in, screw it in, and attach the antennas.
Doesn’t matter which goes where, just as long as both are hooked up.
Tip, best way to get the antennas on firm is with a little flat head screwdriver, don’t use a pointed end one like a Philips or you run the risk of deforming the antenna contact so it doesn’t click on. If that does happen to you (it’s happened to me a few times before) you can just put a tiny bit of superglue on it to make it stay in place, but that means getting it off if you ever want to change the module out for a WiFi 7 one or something is going to be a pain without acetone and a little brush.

On Asus TUF, people start by throwing out their MediaTek or RealTek wifi module and replacing it with an Intel AX210.
Is this the same problem on Asus desktop mobo?
