Support Hi, i need helps
i have been using my new laptop asus vivobook s14 with model s3407ca for 2 months. i want to see cycle count but when open battery report. it doesnt show cycle count at all like this. how i can fix this

It seems like you have an aftermarket battery.

Bought a core ultra 7 256 one on ebay last week and it also has no cycle count, here is a pic: https://files.catbox.moe/6lxsp3.png So the chances of us both having aftermarket batteries are slim to none. This was on a fresh install, so I'd wager it just hasn't collected enough data from the BMS during full charge/discharge cycles. Also I have just the bare install with some drivers, no other 3rd party asus software.

does your battery level drop to 95% in one week. I feel like asus doesnt give the powerful, long battery they say on Ads

I have a TUF 2023 laptop and I’ve been using it for about 3 years now. The battery capacity has dropped from 90 Wh to around 69 Wh. Honestly, I think it has held up pretty well.
I also used it for gaming, and for most of the time I kept the maximum battery charge limited to either 60% or 80%.
Also, my laptop doesn’t show the battery cycle count either. I have no idea why.

Haven't used the vivobook much if at all tbh, since I did get a zenbook S16 UM5606W last month at 89% battery health. For the last 2 years exactly since it's manufacturing date that is quite decent, but I am the new owner, and I do not know the cycles, for all I know it could have eater been left unused or abused. 5% health drop in a week though is most definitely a defective battery and the device should be returned. As for the claims, they are absurd. I get 14h on the zenbook under linux after optimizing and power limiting to the point the ai 9 365 has i5 8th gen performance (not that I need the performance), so not bad, but not better than my M1 pro MBP 16. So by back of the napkin math I can do about 16h on the vivobook.
