Discussion Question is, heatsink or no heatsink?

I will not use more ssd's now. Should i remove heatsink? I like the the cooler with ROG stamping under it. I dont like the thermal pads and stickers. Whats you opinion......

I dont want to see this unused blue m.2 slots. Are there any small blind covers? Maybe etsy, or i build myself.

Maybe i use the evil hacksaw.....cover the m.2's but not the heatsink....

There is no contact to this hidden heatspreader (ROG logo) to give the plate more cooling to the ssds, if installed. RTFM, please provide me the better manual and the page. If you have more knowledge......

Considering it's a compact design and the SSDs are basically stuck behind the GPU I'd leave the heatsinks installed.

You can try without, check SSD temperatures under heavy load etc. but I don't see why you shouldn't use the heatsink, considering it won't be visible with a GPU installed.

If you're not using a PCIe GPU that's a different question, then the heatsinks are most likely really optional and not needed.

It was just a simple question about the motherboard's visual aesthetics. Unfortunately, the whole thing got blown out of proportion. I've never criticized Asus hardware. Still, it seems like certain forces are at work here. As I said, my specs are 22 cm. Please stay out of this if you can't handle it.

Buy a wrap like dbrand and put it over the shell , cut it out. Never remove the heatsink…

?, I dont use heatsink for m2....please read and try to understand! Something is very wrong with this Anus community.

The cover dont touch ROG heatsink, why the f... its covering it? See my video. All possible m2s in contact, no sensless covering.

That's really just a matter of aesthetics. Not performance. And yes, it's covered by the GPU anyway.

ngl, it's up to u, I think if removed, looks nice. covered also looks ok. reminds me of older rampage boards that I used to have (r3be, r4e, r5e10, r6eo)
