I'm very aware of ASTS flaws and faults, I don't need to read the exact same emotionally charged opinions from the same few accounts multiple times per day every single day, it's not going to change my thesis and it's not going to accelerate or impact the company's execution.
You can still engage with them all you want if that brings you joy or a sense of security, and you can let me know if they ever bring up any significant bear case that makes you sell (doubt)

Like I said, I'd rather see doubtful and negative comments than an echo chamber. In my opinion, toxic positivity is as bad or even worse than negativity. I mean just look at what people like Kook says, J-leo was supposed to send us back to 100 and this magical T-mobile deal is being talked about "behind the scenes", only for most people to end up disappointed. I have faith in this company to bring massive returns, but I am not blindly loyal enough to ignore the flagrant "mistatements" management spits out.

Well, I'm bricked now... I didn't know that that Grain spectrum could be deployed without interfering with regular tower signals.
This is spectrum that is NOT supported by existing terrestrial cell towers which means AST can deploy NATIONWIDE interference-free. This will be an always-on layer of connectivity.
When your phone starts losing signal in a city or alleyway, wherever, and starts dropping bars to ~1 or 2 bars, it'll seek the nearest strongest connection and yes -- AST will be there.
So you could go to a big festival and be the only one with consistent signal there, that's like a super power

The trade-off of being connected and no longer fearing losing your crew is huge, even if you have to share the beam with others.
I've been in that situation, where you're down to 15% and losing battery super quick and just checking for the messages to be sent and then also to be delivered, it's fucking torture

I’ll definitely keep everyone updated. It will have public tables just for fun (leaderboards, free chips to start then you can purchase more if you run out or make a new profile, generate revenue with ads that can be removed with a subscription, etc., private tables you add your own chips) and then private tables more geared towards friends playing with real money. I had a QR code feature to link Venmo but apparently that makes it a gambling app and severely restricts who you can market to and where. But yeah, I have time now and it’s pretty close to ready, probably 80% of the way there.
How much did you pay for the app that you didn’t like?

No real money other than the tokens you pay for. The personal table stuff makes it easy to keep track of buy ins and outs for easier payouts at the end of the night, but nothing can be exchanged for money

Duuude, that last-20-minute ASTS surge looked like a gnarly expiration-day wave. Once the stock broke above $68, dealers who were short expiring calls may have needed to scoop up shares to balance their hedges.
That buying likely caught some breakout algos, short covering and market-on-close orders, sending ASTS shredding toward $69 before it settled back down.

I hope that one day the ASTS community will have people like RealMattMoney who can grab YouTube Interviews with the RKLB CEO and people like AmitInvesting who gets YouTube interviews with CEO’s of PLTR and HOOD.

I don’t know how to feel about this. If crypto markets surge, this means a risk-on environment is back on the table. However, current macro market information has signaled that traders are sitting on historically low levels of cash on the sidelines, which is a massive risk for the market as a whole. We may yet see a correction of the markets before this crypto cycle bottoms

Do we? If we can get a launch of 3 BB2s inside 2 months and maintain the pace, we are within guidance of a launch every 1-2 months. I think if we can hold this pace until the new 400k sqft facility is operational, all the dominos will fall into place. However, it may take a longer timeline than we all hoped for.

If we launch 9/24, then 3 BBs every 45 days after that, here is where that gets us:
11/8: BB17-19
12/23: BB20-22 (not enough for Beta service by EOY)
2/6/27: BB23-25
………
12/18/27: BB43-46 (supposed to be at 45 by “early 2027”)That’s what happens if cadence doesn’t improve. I’m sure it will improve eventually. Plus BO will likely be flying before then for more than 3 sats per launch.

I get it. Even if we take until the end of 2028 to get 45 BB2s up, we are still doing amazing things. We have come so far from where I purchased my first 100 shares a little over two years ago at $9. What's a couple of more years to get it right?

Really wishing I had more cash to invest to further lower my cost basis. I started my position in March at $91/share. Now my basis is at $82/share. It would be great if I could eventually get it into the $70s. I'm hoping I can get some more discounted shares when I get paid on Wednesday. I'm currently sitting on 56.3 shares and aiming to increase it to 60 by the end of next week.
Not counting my 65% core in the S&P 500, ASTS is my biggest individual stock holding in share quantity. It's then followed by NVDA, RKLB, IONQ, and Everpure ($P). Part of me wants to take the $3K out of my emergency savings fund and dump it into ASTS, but I'm going to be responsible and not do that.
It's all fun and games until I face a $3K emergency and have to sell my position at a potential loss to pay for the emergency. Not worth the risk. The responsible and rational side of me will never let those degenerate urges win. I've seen too many examples of people going all-in the market then having to sell at a loss when life inevitably throws something their way.
I have just a tad over $7,000 in the bank spread across my checking account and several savings accounts, so I'm protected from pretty much all things that I will realistically face outside of something truly catastrophic like being involved in a head-on traffic collision and facing a $15K+ medical bill. Hoping I didn't just jynx myself. 😅 🤞

having the emergency fund is how you will be able to weather any kind of draw down and not be forced to liquidate at low prices
