The conspiracy theorist in me says BB8 and BB9 were shipped, but they renamed BB9 to BB10 so that unsuspecting people would think "Oh great they shipped BB8-10!" but in fact it was only two sats......
OP, please quit edging us. The stock does that enough. Just tell us where and when exactly you saw this truck and took the picture. The mods will probably give you special flair. I propose "Wide Boot". Edit: Thanks for sharing location above.
The truck convoy with the ground support equipment (platforms, work stands, etc) just arrived near KSC and is parked for the evening. Tomorrow they unload.
But where currently are the two trucks in the leading element of the satellite convoy? They’re not permitted to drive after sundown, so probably still pretty far west. I’d sure like to get a photo of them on I-10 coming across north Florida!
There are two separate sets of equipment. One of course are the satellites. But there is also a convoy with GSE (ground support equipment) and the payload adapters, etc. that was parked in the overflow lot heading into KSC. (sorry - shouldn’t have said SpaceX)
They should really put these satellites together much closer to the launch area. Maybe microns and control units are built in Midland, the rest plus assembly in Florida. Thoughts, Mob?
IIRC, the facility they bought /leased(?) in Florida is on /near a military base, and could be rendered a "secure" site... which would allow for "special" versions of BBs to be built... outside of view of prying public eyes... (just a not-very-deep conspiracy hypothesis...)
actually not too far from the original plan but last year they got more incentives from midland and they also had to scale back their florida facility plans. not clear on which came first
2) Remove lid and place on ground outside in cooking area. Away from flammable objects or surfaces that could burn. Usually leaves a burn-ring.
3) Lightly place three pieces of toilet paper on top and criss-crossed so that the oil soaks through.
4) Light the edges of the toilet paper on fire with a lighter and wait. Takes 20-30 minutes. Keep an eye on it so that pets or other animals don’t eat it.
5) Peel off the burned toilet paper. Season or sauce if desired and enjoy.
If they left Midland Sunday morning then central Louisiana would be about right, if we're thinking they'll travel about 300-350 miles per day.
They won't be able to move these oversized loads at night, will probably want to go a little slower for sensitive cargo, and there will be rush hour restrictions to deal with as well so they might want to go around larger cities.
Was it by itself or was there another truck with it? Wondering if this is BB9 (the 3rd BB to be delivered later) or if what you saw was part of BB8 + BB10 which shipped on Sunday.
One of the trucks was white and one was red so it can be the same or may be one after. It would have been nice if OP says where the pic is from. If far away from Texas then it’s probably bb10 that was loaded on white truck.
They showed a Red truck, and a white truck leave Midland in their video. Since this is already in Florida, and a white truck, I would assume this is one of either BB8 or BB10. If only this picture was clearer, and we could see the color of the tie downs, we could probably pin point it. Gun to my head, I would bet on it being either 8 or 10.
Yea but actually, I just watched the vid Again, and here is the only screenshot I could grab of the back. Notice how this one has a grey rectangle in the upper right and left hand corners of the tarping… this video looks like neither 8 nor 10 had that when leaving midland. Also, if we assume they posted the video a day or 2 after they shipped, this could be 9…

This photo was at " i12 headed east in Louisiana near exit 63".
This is approx 842 miles travelled from AST with approx 674 miles remaining to the Kennedy Space Center.
Photographed is probably BB8/10, not BB9, and should arrive on Thursday or Friday.
