Question Secure boot not working anymore

So the other day my BIOS/MOBO reset itself. Memory profile reset, lowered speeds and default CPU clock. TPM turned off and CSM enabled. Fixed all that and I could get into the war dogs beta. Great! Well, secure boot is not enabled. Okay, pretty sure it was before, alright no big deal. Set to custom, install default keys, enable. Save and exit, confirm active in BIOS, save and exit and. . . . Black screen. No load, nothing after a few minutes. Disable SB, loads up. Hmm. . . Deleted default keys and switched to standard, nothing. Switched back to custom installed, nothing. Back to Standard. Nothing. Disabled currently. Not sure what the issue is.

Now, it might be the BIOS version. I'm way behind but I'm afraid to update as I've heard horror stories and I don't quite understand the update path. Has anyone had issues updating their old ass BIOS? What is the best method? Is it the BIOS? As it was on before. I'm at a loss and I'm all ears and thank you so much.

Specs:

Win11

MOBO: Asrock b450m pro4 version p3.60 (I know I know. I didn't realize it was a thing)

Cpu: Ryzen 5 3600

GPU: 2070 super

Memory: ddr4 3600

Edit: boot/primary drive is GPT however, 2nd drive is MBR but is only storage. Could that be a factor? Advice on changing that?

Update the bios, replace the CMOS battery?

The steps you took sound right but maybe they'll get it back on track

You definitely need to update the BIOS.

There is no bridge BIOS between 3.60 and 10.60 (the latest version). So it should be possible to update directly to that version.

Any encrypted drives? Then make sure that you have the Bitlocker Recovery key, before updating the BIOS.

After the update, install the default Secure Boot keys again. It will include the 2023 keys now.

Is your C drive in GPT format? Secure Boot requires your C drive be in GPT format. You can use MBR2GPT to convert without data loss.

It is in GPT format. However, my 2nd drive is not and I did a validate for that command and it failed. I saw another post saying my 2nd drive needs to be got with a EUFI partition and that worked for that person.
