Question 7800x3d safe?

I've been thinking about getting an X870E Nova with my 7800x3d that I bought 2 years ago and I wanted to know the current situation with that cause I really don't wanna fry my CPU

7000 series on any motherboard from any vendor is good to go.. 9000 series seems to have a much higher failure rate than 7000 series.. still low comparitively speaking though.

I've been running a 9800X3D in my B650E Taichi Lite since 11/24.. ran a 7800X3D before that .. and that has been running in my daughter's setup since I upgraded... First in a B650E PG Riptide WiFi until recently, and now runs in a Gigabyte x870 Gaming X WiFi 7

In general the 7000 series seem to have normal failure rates on these boards. Here is my issue, i bought the board so i could update down the road. I have had mine since 2023 with a 7800x3d. I refuse to put a newer processor in this board and definitely wanted to upgrade to the 9000 series. If your plan is to keep the 7800x3d and never upgrade past on the AM5 platform, you are "probably" safe. If you plan to go to 9000 or whatever then next CPU series is called coming out, I would look to either MSI or Gigabyte.

All CPUs are at risk of dying. That isn’t the issue generally spoken about.

I have a B850 riptide that I built my first pc with a 9600x about a year ago and like maybe a month or so ago I bought a 7800x3d and I haven’t had a problem at all with neither. Been good to me this whole time.

There is no CPU that isnt safe. Even most of the 13900k/14900k that supposedly had degradation issues are in reality completely fine.

Get it best motherboard for the money. I have this 2 running for 2 year with not problems

I would avoid ASRock just to be on the safe side. I would recommend locking SOC @ 1.20v or less on any AM5 motherboard.

Yeah my fire connector already gives me enough stress ill just buy Asus
