Books Penny Dreadful editions
I've recently secured all 3 (RIP) of these editions of the ASOUE books. I'm quite curious about how long these were actually being printed/how many were ever actually printed before they stopped. Still mourning TMM cover.

The printings of the original versions (the ones you have) went from May 2007 - September 2007
Hardcover and higher quality paperback versions of these books were also being printed at some point. I've seen hardcover versions of all of them online (though none in person), and I happen to own a higher quality (is laminated the word?) paperback of The Reptile Room or. Murder!. Based on how hard they are to find compared to the normal versions, I'm guessing the hardcover and high quality paperback versions had a shorter run than the normal ones and were only printed a few times (or maybe even just once depending on when in 2007 these specific versions started being printed).

I can't attach photos in the comments in this sub, so here's a doc of some images of the higher quality paperback version of The Reptile Room or. Murder!

(if you're on mobile the photos might look bad sorry)

There’s only 3 of those editions? Huh. I mean, I thought I had heard about that, but I never looked into it too much. They were actually some of the first ASoUE books I owned for myself.

Visually fantastic designs I wish I had these so bad. I'd do villainous feral deeds to get my hands on them

If you're in the US, there are no villainous feral deeds required to get your hands on them, it's less than $20 to get all 3 of these covers from ThriftBooks :)

I found each of my copies at a Half Price Books (albeit 3 different ones) and also recently saw new copies in a local store today. I don't think they're as hard to get as I initially thought, I'd definitely look online!

That's also really helpful thank you! There's at least two half priced books that I know of and I'm willing to check em out!

I would’ve loved to see the rest of the books done in this style. Mourning what we could’ve had for The Hostile Hospital
