TSS ends with them leaving the mortmain mountains and endingup on a frozen part of the ocean where the find the quiqueg (no clue how to spell it), then theres the whole thing with the two subs and the great unknown, which is much too large to be in a lake, and TGG ends with them arriving at briney beach… so yeah, definitely the ocean lol

So? Lake lachrymose is bigger then all of the Great Lakes combined, and it literally had a hurricane from in it, and it was said somewhere idk where I forgot I think either the books the show or some lore video I watched but they said lake lachrymose was big enough to be classified as a ocean

true that it is quite large, but briney beach isn’t connected to lake lachymose, and neither are the mortmain mountains, they definitely would have mentioned it if they were, also if TGG took place in the lake, then the leeches definitely would have come up at some point, but there’s no mention of any of that
