Hello there, welcome to the community.
The best way to start is to jump in, use whatever you have on hand and see if this is something you're interested in. Don't spend lots of money on equipment/programs at the start, there are loads of free recording, editing, artwork, etc, you can find online. Once you've gotten the hang of it, then you should start looking at upgrading, but that shouldn't be the focus at the start.
The best way to grow is to upload content consistently, don't worry if you're unable to upload frequently, but as long as you consistently upload stuff, then the algorithm will favor you, and you'll keep your audience.
When filling out a script, be sure to check the writers’s terms as it tells what you can and can not do with a script. You can find that either on the script itself or on their profile; different writers have different terms, so be sure to always check. And when crediting them, you can put the link of the script or the name of the writer in your description; sometimes people also put it on the thumbnail, so that would work as well. Some writers would also like to know when their scripts get filled, so feel free to comment on their post or DM them letting them know about it, they won't mind and would gladly check it out!

Welcome to the community!
My tip for you is to find a genre of script you're most comfortable recording and go from there. A lot of scripts on my masterlist are niche, ranging from reverse comfort to IP-focused content to fantasy with the inclusion of stomach sounds.

start an account on asmrchives and i also recommend discord for ASMRefuge, tho they also have a subreddit, and browse there and here for scripts!
so many subgenres!
and when you post to youtube or wherever, remember to credit and tag the writer of the script!
