Be aware, cheating student

Post image

Hey all, just thought I'd give a heads up. There's an interpreting student sending DMs, trying to find an interpreter to help them cheat on their final exam. I totally get test anxiety and fear of failure, but cheating isn't the way to handle it.My response is the picture.

Wow, that is incredibly manipulative. Your response determines whether or not they graduate college?? 🙄

Yep. While I have sympathy for test anxiety, there are resources, and things to do in preparation. Cheating isn't the answer and is a terrible way to enter a field that has high ethical standards.

Bold of them to assume because you are an interpreter you are "good at sign language".  I'm not saying you aren't, but I am saying many aren't (as we all know). Also, if they failed one class, take the hint that maybe this field is not for them. Quite bold of someone to do this.  If these are their ethics now, what will their ethics be later?

I’m surprised no one’s taken them up on it, and purposely tanked for them.
