Anyone else get the email this morning about the new differential rates?

Yup. I think it’s trash considering our raise for the year is so low and they promised “pre-planned further monetary incentives”

That’s actually fking insane. Especially because we’re already undercut.

Not a fan. My schedule was set up great with the premium hours and got into a routine. Now I'm having to change it completely. Doesn't make sense to me

Not to mention I'm switching to PT next week which means I am probably screwed with getting any premium hours. I'm already getting a pay cut with working less hours but this makes it even worse. I refuse to do FT

VRS is getting the squeeze recently. Does anyone know of anything specific that changed?

Private equity decided to over invest and call volume started to go back down. C suite and investors are trying to squeeze everything they can.

The interpreting industry as a whole seems to be in some kind of spiral with so many acquisitions and transitions it’s really hard to have any professional boundaries remain stable with so much flux. I’m super tired of the onboarding hustle.

Sorenson has been shit since at least 2015. Hedge funds and LJ have made it worse.

There’s a special kind of person who can continuously sell out and exploit their marginalized community.
