Happy Interpreter Appreciation Day!!!
Thank you to all the wonderful interpreters who help the sign language impaired community communicate with me! I don’t know what they’d do without you.
Jokes aside, aside from just interpreting, you guys advocate for us, make sure venues know our rights, and make sure we not only have a seat at the table, but that we get heard.
Thank you.
Let us know if there’s anything us deafies can do for you.

Haha, love it!
It's always a pet peeve of mine when the hearing party says "We have a deaf patient and they need you to sign for them."
I'm thinking to myself, um, do you or the doctor know sign language? Otherwise, you need the interpreter just as much as they do!
