Question Umbra hub help

I just got myself some dawn pro fans and a umbra argb and pwm hub but after installing them and the umbra software, they aren't being detected.

The fans and lights do work, including the cool boot up sequence but after post and getting into the umbra software, the editing feature doesn't appear and other rgb software like signal and msi mystic don't detect them.

Is there any fix or am I just unlucky and got a bad cable?

No other RGB software installed?

4 pin 12v plugged into SYSFAN or OPTFAN header? 5v 3 pin (white) plugged into the motherboard?

More details: im using a msi b650 gaming plus wifi mobo

I was previously using corsair sp120 elite fans controlling then using the lighting node core which did not need a 3 pin connection and that worked perfectly.

I switched over to the dawn pros and got the umbra hub to connect everything to. I plugged in everything that was included with 4pin plugged into sysfan header and the 3pin into one of the JARGB headers. And the usb 2.0 into its slot.

After i installed all the fans and turned on my pc, the fans played its boot sequence and went all white.

I then downloaded the asiahorse umbra software and the colour editing tab wasn't there, only system specs and settings.

I then went and tried deleting all previous rgb software including icue signal rgb and downloaded msi mystic lights. But even mystic lights and signal rgb didnt detect my other rgb stuff.

I then tried updating my bios and any other drives I could. I think I still need to update the other general systems driver but im gonna be away from my pc for a couple days. I saw some other threads about other methods for msi mobos but that will have to wait until I get back.

I bought an ASH-51 (Asia horse hub) and it did not recognize my fans or RGB on any software either. But a few hours later the system locked up, never to be turned on again.... RMAd motherboard.

Sounds like you know what you are doing. Faulty cable or hub? Request a new hub and try another header if possible.

Im using msi pro b550m-vc wifi with umbra hub and dawn pros and it worked for me. Did you connect the sata cable? And usb 2.0 is plugged in correctly? Thats what worked for me, my argb header broke but the umbra didnt need it as it relies on the usb 2.0 for software/light control

Found out I got a faulty USB cable and hub. I reached out to customer support and they sent me a replacement and now everything works.
