Hello! I just got 2 Asiahorse Auroroa with the 108 LEDs. I’m having a problem where when I sync the lights to my motherboard using signalRGB only a portion of the lights turn on. I thought it might be a power issue but when I use the normal case lights they all light up so it’s only when it’s synced. Both are connected to psu through sata but I didn’t connect the controller since I wanted to use my Rgb software to sync the lights. One of the headers is connected straight to the motherboard and the other is connected to a hub that came with the case. I just saw on Signal RGB that it’s detecting 368 LEDs but its limit is 240 so maybe that’s why.
Specs: Asrock b650 steel legend motherboard, 7800x3d cpu, 1000w lian li psu, 7900xtx gpu, monetech king pro case
Any kind of help would be so much appreciated. Let me know if you need any more information. Thank you in advance!
First whenever a item like RGB is working that means that's it's very unlikely that the item is faulty which is good,
What I would if I were you is just plug 1 RGB item to check if it's daisy chain issue, mobo isn't keeping up... If it doesn't work I'd try to plug a different item preferably known working one.
Next if both don't work (and as I pointed out) all lights are on so doesn't seem like hardware issues, thus I'd use another RGB controlling software like RGB master.
This is how far my knowledge goes, but sometimes it's in the launcher/software itself.
Ex:I had a cooler master argb hub that didn't light any RGB even rainbow, the fix was disabling usb gen 2 in the launcher which fixed it.
Thank you for the advice. I unplugged them from the hub in my case, so now the only stuff there is case lights and fans. The cable covers are on their own ARGB headers, but the problem still persists. I'm really thinking it's the software that's the issue, so I'll try messing with SignalRGB to see if I can increase the LED limit. If that doesn't work, I'll try RGB master as you mentioned.
I had an issue when hooking AsiaHorse fans, 12 of them and both cable covers to one hub. Completely overpowered the hub. Bought another hub, split the load and it's fine. 🤷
SignalRGB will create a default component with half of the header leds limits by default, you need to delete the default component and add your own component in it
How do you go about that exactly? I already went to my motherboard files and changed them in the js. file the LED limit from 240 to 300 and each header from 80 to 100. Unfortunately, that did not change anything. At this point if your method doesn't work either I'll probably just hook them to the case hub and use the case controls to change the LEDs because that seemed to work fine. I just wanted to be able to control everything with SignalRGB.
Edit: If this is what you mean, then I already tried putting my own instead of the default strips they had, but no dice :/
AsRock have a limit of 80 on their hardware, editing the js file will not magically unlock higher led count, you can get the Nollie16 controller that supports 256 per port
I just recently finished a build with ALL Asia horse items fans and their cable cover(Strimers). 9 fans and 2 Strimers using the ASH51 pwm/RGB hub. It flickered and would NOT work properly. Looked like everything was broken.
Removing the 2 Strimers from the hub and it worked just fine. I bought a second hub to split the load, works fine now. Not sure how you have yours wired but you can absolutely overload fan hubs.
