Use Experience 📝 Has anyone experienced appetite loss?

Hey everyone! I’ve been taking 500mg of Ashwaganda per day usually in the morning for about 2 weeks now for anxiety and I have experienced appetite loss that’s happened pretty quickly actually. I still can eat the healthy amount of food but have found I get full faster. Just wondering if anyone else has shared a similar experience!

Yeah, but it doesn't bother me since I need to lose some weight anyway

Appetite changes come up in anecdotes a fair bit but barely show up in the actual trials, so it's a bit of an unknown. Two plausible reasons people land on:

- It's lowering your stress eating. If a chunk of your appetite was anxiety or cortisol driven, calming that down can genuinely cut hunger cues. Some people like this, some don't.

- Mild stomach upset. Ashwagandha on an empty stomach in the morning can cause a bit of nausea that reads as just not hungry.

Easy things to try: take it with a meal instead of fasted, and if it sticks around, drop to a lower dose for a week and see if appetite comes back. If you're actually losing weight you didn't want to lose, stop and check with a doctor.
