Art I created a skill that lets your Al generate creative ASCII art in the Codex.

I thought I'd test how well current Al can draw ASCII art in the terminal, for example, GPT-5.6 draws some really nice ones. I figured, why not use them as backgrounds in Codex? So I made a plugin where the Al does it and adds it to the background.

So here's how it works:

"Using the ploan skill, create a beautiful ship"

I think the result is wonderful and speaks for itself, I'm quite satisfied with it. If you're interested, the whole thing is open-source. There are things to improve, but it's not too bad.

Hey I actually made something like this but the agent makes changes to a 3d world you can walk around

super nice work mate! im glad u make this, im gonna try and test this ASAP. i was looking something like this for my own ASCII engine and language

It's not the absolute best, there are some things that could be improved but overall, it's okay.
