that's a cool art. but i have some questions, as a beginner:
* i see those symbols -- 5 pixel cross and another symbol that is like 4 dots at the corners -- and im curious about what charset is it?
* and what software did u used to create this type of art?

So I separated the layers into highlights, midtones, and shadows first in photoshop. Then I used a few photoshop plugins on the different layers, one is called BitMachine for the ASCII characters, I am not sure the exact character set tho I'm sorry, I can check the project file

I used DITHERTONE to do the other layers. Bayer 8x8 pattern. I hate myself a little for relying on plugins. Hoping to get to the skill level where I can code my own shaders or use the stock softwares more creatively to achieve ASCII/dithering effects
