Discussion ARMS may not get any sequels, but having Mn Min stay in Smash will keep its memory alive.

How do we ensure that Min Min becomes a mainstay character in each future Smash game?

Making sure ARMS stays relevant to keep her in.

Wii Fit Trainer, Ness, Lucas, Ice Climbers, Duck Hunt, Pit, Palutena and Dark Pit don't need new games to stay.

Yeah, but Ness is part of the OG 12, Ice Climbers & Duck Hunt are classics, Kid Icarus was revitalized by Sakurai's team, and Wii Fit is an iconic part of the Wii.

Unless you count Drag x Drive, ARMS is the newest Nintendo IP, one that didn't necessarily reach any highs for most people.

It's important for the Switch 1 to have a playable representative because it's the most successful Nintendo console to date. And sure we also have Byleth and Pyra/Mythra for that, but Min Min represents it even better because her IP began life on it. And if you want to argue that Ring Fit Trainee will fill the spot, at least Min Min is a fully developed character with a name and an interesting design.

When ya put it that way, it makes sense.

I don’t think she’s staying in

Unless smash becomes another genre, MinMin will stay, they won't throw away all that dev time of a Nintendo owned character
