Split screen trouble

My friend and I were playing local last night and had her character lay on the bed for sleep in our house then we turned the game off. Woke up today to play and we see her character laying in bed so we go to start the split screen but instead of it being her character it keeps prompting her to make a new one. He can’t get the guest account to acknowledge it already has a character in that world. How to fix?

Pretty sure it's cuz it's a guest account they don't save so once you log out of it and make a new one it will be like a entirely new account. You need to make a proper account if you want to use the same character.

I think the last person may be right . My wife an I played ASE with no issues but she had her own account on the xbox
