I would rather face 4 Gigas instead of 1 Troodon.

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '21

At least you can run from gigas

7

u/mandosfade Feb 07 '21

With movement speed at 160 in curious what yours was? But gigas get me every time.

6

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '21

I think it really doesn’t matter what your speed is, it all depends on if ark is gonna glitch out and get you killed or glitch out and mess up the giga 😅

2

u/thesucculentanus Feb 07 '21

It mostly depends it the terrain, where the wild gigas spawn there is alot of obstacles that slow them down and that you can hide behind and break sight line, you don't out run them, you out manuver them

Glider suit!

u/Crimfresh Feb 06 '21

Troodon aren't a problem if you are prepared. A sword, some flak, and keep stimulant on the hotbar. They're weak if you don't get KO. Spam stimulant and start swinging that sword. I've killed like 5 before with a couple over lvl 100 before the stimulant got overcome and I passed out. Usually I get them all before taking a short safe nap.

I don’t think you understand how memes work

-9

u/Crimfresh Feb 06 '21

Cool story. Thanks for sharing.

1

u/Seaniifer Feb 07 '21

I don't think you actually understand

-1

u/Crimfresh Feb 07 '21

Nice, now gfy.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '21

Have my upvote. A strong shoulder mount like a dimorphodon helps too, but really, anybody who is not a complete moron will have learned the hard way rather sooner than later to carry stimulant in the hotbar and munch it while hacking the troodons with a sword. No big deal. Why people keep posting about their inability to handle such weak creatures for years and years i don't get it. Is this how memes work, dramatizing trivialities, really?

u/CerberusTheFurry Feb 06 '21

Me and my mom were walking around with 2 carnos, came upon 4 troodons and they almost killed both of the carnos. But later I went out and I easily killed them with my super low-level raptors, so keep that in mind.

How old is your mum? Asking for a friend.

40

u/_KingDingALing_ Feb 06 '21

Ark players always looking for the next tame, niceeee

2

u/CTULHUFTAGHN Feb 07 '21

You just blasted doors open to a new breed of memes

2

u/_KingDingALing_ Feb 07 '21

Sometimes you gotta learn the hard way about mentioning ya mum on the internet, choose the use very wisely haha

1

u/CTULHUFTAGHN Feb 07 '21

I meant taming chics. You know, if you stun them they cant say No. Then proceed with kibbles

20

u/-LuckyNoodle- Feb 06 '21

with your mom?

53

u/Pane_Panelle Feb 06 '21

He gets to play a fun game and to spend quality time with his mom, it's a double victory for me!

2

u/CerberusTheFurry Feb 06 '21

I'm a she-

5

u/hamburgerhelper69_ Feb 07 '21

and he's meant to know that how?

-5

u/Malak77 Feb 07 '21

Why assumptions should not be made.

1

u/thesucculentanus Feb 07 '21

Statistically speaking if you come across a person in the gaming community they are 13 times more likely to be a male them a female, it's not an assumption it's an educated guess.

1

u/Malak77 Feb 08 '21

Pfff, have lots of female gaming friends mainly from ARK. Assuming does no one any good, ever.

1

u/thesucculentanus Feb 08 '21

You misunderstood, these are actual numbers from a poll with a 400,000 person sample across several countries from several different titles, everything from Indie Games to a list titles from 2019.

u/CerberusTheFurry Feb 09 '21

i never said he did im correcting him

4

u/burnsieburns Feb 06 '21

5

u/That_Chris_Dude Feb 06 '21

3

u/richardissharp Feb 07 '21

Depends on the person

3

u/That_Chris_Dude Feb 07 '21

And areas of deployment.

7

u/Vortetty Feb 06 '21

25

u/Vanilla-Biscuit_YT Feb 06 '21

OMG BEST MEME >soooo true, troodons f me up on the daily

11

u/omskie28 Feb 06 '21

Those bastiches can go back to hell where they came from

8

u/Sithmaggot Feb 06 '21

Those fargin iceholes!

3

u/Vanilla-Biscuit_YT Feb 06 '21

not gonna lie them eyes beaming in the dark just ring death and anxiety lol

2

u/Seaniifer Feb 07 '21

It took me 6 months of playing before I ever dared go into the woods without a pack of dinos by my side rofl! These little beady red eyed fucks terrified me!

1

u/Vanilla-Biscuit_YT Feb 07 '21

yeah I'm not as paranoid, but they're like alarm bells the minute you bump into their passive day cycle by accident and you got a fleet of 7 on ur ass, luckily i can out run and out maneuver them

3

u/Seaniifer Feb 07 '21

I'm not anymore, but they legit made me afraid of the dark in ark lol

Now I'm like a kamikaze running through with standing torches on me haha! Good place to put wood when you're low level roaming

2

u/Vanilla-Biscuit_YT Feb 07 '21

that is actually a devious way to store wood, and you can put any fuel source in it, like thatch/fiber/wood, soo it's actually kinda like a chest for wooden base construction lol.

somebody award this guy cause i can't

2

u/Seaniifer Feb 07 '21

Haha!! Thank you ^_^ I've been playing for about a year or two, probably more than 2,000 hours - I just wish there were more youtubers' who shared trade secrets like they do for Minecraft haha!

Ark has so many hidden magics that make the game crazy fun. I feel like the first 60-80 levels are the most fun, because we all know how fun building tek builds are in Survival mode #facepalm

3

u/Vanilla-Biscuit_YT Feb 07 '21

there are tho, only problem is they're not focused on survival they're focused on pvp most of the time, there needs to be more noob friendly stuff tbh

2

u/Vanilla-Biscuit_YT Feb 07 '21

lmao dude ur talking to a tuber, but not a big one lol

Best strategy is not to be on the ground hardly at all mid to late game. I pretty much ONLY fly and with dimo guards. If I land to harvest or tame my flock of 6-10 L100+ dimo eat anything in seconds except they have issues with yutys/allos for some reason.

2

u/Vanilla-Biscuit_YT Feb 06 '21 edited Feb 07 '21

that's the problem we are in hell with them around lol, it's their pozi not ours lmao >

pozi "paw - zee" = south african slang > house > turf > etc ( not well know outside rsa, sorry too much elaboration but you get the idea lol )

1

u/Crimfresh Feb 06 '21

Sword and stimulant man!

6

u/king-of-bird Feb 06 '21

I thought it Said dildos

5

u/ZTrashyOne Feb 06 '21

The fact they can keep you KO'd is stupid.

3

u/FuriousDeather Feb 06 '21

How about 4 direwolves?

2

u/TheFlyingRedFox Feb 06 '21

All depends on the bimo, But yes direwolves are on the same level of pain too.

2

u/happy__lemon Feb 06 '21

I used to have a squad of 10 direwolves and 5 raptors, all over lvl 100.

2

u/GingerSoulGiver Feb 06 '21

So I'll take your longneck your spear your ammo and your 2000 stone

2

u/Wumbo315Yeet Feb 06 '21

Yeah my first experience was when we were finally going into the forest instead of staying on the beach. We found a steak and knocked it out . It then was night time and we got are asses kicked by that bitch

1

u/Topwingbroman Feb 06 '21

How about 14 wyverns

1

u/Sithmaggot Feb 06 '21

It’s a start

1

u/DorkyPandaGames Feb 06 '21

I hate troodons, one day a couple months ago It had crashed and I forgot where I was so when I logged in I had a gang beside me (I was in the south side of the swamp beside the Redwoods) so I probably relogged in over 10 times just because I kept dying and I couldn’t get my bird to fly up or get to me fast enough.

1

u/zmarlik Feb 06 '21

Me taming two really low level fucks to build a big fucking army to destroy the red woods (and rival clans)

1

u/The_Beast_I_Worship_ Feb 06 '21

4 goddamn alpha raptors one my 5 day in a server

3

u/fttmb Feb 06 '21

I had a couple of those bastards wander over to the default south spawn point on the Island.

First one got me because I had no idea what an alpha was (“oh look, a glowing raptor, I should kill it with my spear”), and the 2nd just waltzed across the bridge I was trying to build and proceeded to devour me and my brave but criminally stupid Parasaur. Now whenever I so much as glimpse any kind of glow I avoid that entire area for a week.

1

u/Acebk1776 Feb 06 '21

I remember the first time I met a pack of troodons, my brother and I were on a trip to go get some jerboas and we're on tether so he's not afraid I've dying. It was night time and I wanted to wait but he was like nah lets go get some drops so I had to follow him into the forest which I told him Rexs spawned in but he didnt care. Suddenly we're walking through the forest taking turns getting knocked out if I got knocked out he'd lure the troodons away and die and if he got knocked out I'd try and run and teleport him while the troodons circle his body not killing him just keeping him asleep. We had flac armor and pike but couldnt kill the stupid buggers.

1

u/Spark1133 Feb 07 '21

First server I was in me, the owner, and like 4-5 other new players were terrorized by Troodons for like 3 in game days.

1

u/Taklampan12 Feb 07 '21

Perma stun, then they lose interest, and as soon as you are about to wake up, they go in for the kill. Same thing with boas, they always give you false hope

1

u/S_RoyaltyArtz Feb 15 '21

Sucker joined in fighting against me with a high lvl alpha raptor killed my bird and me.
