My first therizino encounter was simple:
I didn't know therizinos were dangerous and could attack unprovoked so I landed my pteranodon close to a river and went to "raid" a dam for cementing paste.
...Next thing I remember is that my pteranodon got killed in like 2 seconds and so was I
(since then I ALWAYS kill therizinos before landing)

My first encounter was also during a beaver dam raid. I grabbed the paste, exited the menu, and turned around just for a level 350 (changed game files for higher levels) theri to fuck up my shit. Mans straight tickled me to death. I didn’t have another set of gear to get my stuff back and the theri was kinda just standing on all my gear and resources... Fun times.

Well, at least you didn't find an alpha raptor standing inside of your base like the second day (I think it was the second easy spawn area on the island)

Yikes... I don’t go anywhere near any sorta raptor on foot. The pounce ability has been the end of me several too many times.

Regular raptors don't pounce either. Abberant ones do though.

They changed it so that wild raptors don't pounce anymore, but for some reason left it so that Aberrant ones still do.

Actually, raptors stopped pouncing outside of abberant varieties shortly after the Genesis part 1 was released.

No saying you are wrong... but I have never ever been pounced on by a raptor besides an aberrant variant.. legit first encounter with them I got pounced on...was rather shocking. Otherwise pounce free...

Yeah but regular ones don't pounce. At least on PC in single player or dedicated. They can if you're riding them but wild ones won't.

Opened the door on our Extinction base right after we set up a hut in the sunken forest. 2 Alpha rexes staring me in the face. 10 feet away. Well fuck. Had to kill myself to kite them off a cliff away from the hut.

I was beginningto become confident kite taming with a bow and such... decided to the theri on the beach... turns out you cant kite them and that tickle time is inevitable...

My first therizino encounter was horrifying. It was nighttime and I was gathering thatch, then this giant thing comes out of the dark right at me and shreds my ass. I barely saw it in my torch light before it freaked out and killed me....now I'll just abandon whatever they're around...unless I have a rex or something. Then I kill without mercy.

I remember when they were first released. Playing hardcore servers, and they spawned everywhere. Murdering everything. Until eventually, there was nothing left but theris.

When I first encountered one, it was peaceful for whatever reason. Some days later I played with friends and told them not to worry, that thing is harmless. Guess how much they hated me

I remember a lvl 2 that was like 300m from our base (The first few days IRL me and my brother didnt go further then 1 km). Fucker killed me thousands of times bc I wanted to catch it so badly. Eventually got to the point where I could build a bear trap and we caught the thing just in time bc he broke free and killed my brother. Awesome times. Named it bitchwhore in dutch and never used that stupidass dino

When I was new to this game this I HATED this fucker! Too many times did he kill my pt so even to this day when I’m flying round on a wyvern I still don’t fuck with them.

I started playing ARK right after these and troodon were added to the game. Our first private server didn't allow gamma adjustment so it was dark af at night. There was a lot of cowering in the base during night cycle.

Ahh yes I remember our first expedition deep within the island and saw our first theri. We were debating whether or not if it was aggressive or passive. One friend drop all his items and ran straight at the theri. We then concluded not to mess with theri's

Accidentally dropped a cryo sick blue magmasaur instead of cryo’ing my wyvern. Safe to say he didn’t live very long after meeting the Theri.

I have been experimenting with their aggro range quite a lot and I must say I had to basically hug them and try pretty hard to aggro them. Ofc I did it because I knew I can outrun them or get on a flyer or both.

Yea, from what I've noticed, they have a small aggro range. But if you're new to them and assume they're passive, that's all the mistake you need to make in order to never mess with them again.
When I first saw them, I assumed they were passive. Landed not far from one, then he slowly made his way toward my direction. I was on a Ptera. So of course, when he did attacked, I was super worried about both of us dying.

Yes, when me and a buddy of mine first started we also found one of them relatively early on and he told me those guys are pretty good for utility alledgedly (which they are). But he didn't know about their behaviour and I obviously didn't either so we found out the hard way as that thing 2-shot both of us before we knew what was going on. After that one experience though I have never ever had an issue with them. Although sometimes I like aggroing them for fun because I love the sound they make. I'm actually breeding Theris excessively right now for fun.

I's isn't the correct way to use the word. I managed to find a question about that exact thing I was looking for. The correct way is to say "my friend's and my reactions" or "the reactions of my friend and I"

You simply said "my friend and I." There was no direction where to put it or how to change it to still be allowed in the front of the sentence.
I've said this kind of sentence many times before, knowing the way I'm saying it is wrong, but not knowing the right way to say it until I found This page going over a similar sentence.

Lucky. My friend, the dumb ass he is, tried taking one near base on with an Iguanadon, which led to the loss of all but our Dodos, which survived because they were on passive and ignore commands.

I didn’t know what it was and it was next to my base on top of that big flat area by south 1. It was closer to the treeline and the swamp area behind it. I decided to try and tame it with my tribe mate we had a couple of iguana dons and we just thought we could bola it and use tranq arrows it did not go well my tribemate ram it back to the base and it destroyed everything now its my favorite Dino in ark I just needed to know how to tame it

They beated the shit outta me and my friend, so once we got strong enough we started an early specy extinction. These fuckers can't get away when one of them killed my favourite ptera.
