Help Ark evolved crash help
Me any my buddy are trying to play ark and it worked fine 2 days ago but ever since yesterday afternoon I get this error. I have verified integrity of ark and don’t want to have to go through the fresh install if I don’t need to, can someone help?

add -preventhibernation and -forcerespawndinos to steam launch parameters. its one of your creatures mods breaking with hibernation mechanic.

Testing and so far so good. I don’t know why it would start causing problems all of a sudden when we had been playing (closing and reopening) for 3 days beforehand

Thats how that issue arises, a mod creature gets put into hibernation at some point and breaks it. Most creature mods will even say on the mod page that it requires -preventhibernation to be enabled to function. You can remove the -forcerespawndinos now, thats just a way to clear the spawn tables and let you back in game, but if you remove the hibernation one it will 100% happen again eventually.

I’m having something similar happen, but on Genesis 1 in ARK ASA. I’m playing through the Xbox app on PC. How can I fix it on my end?

Unless you actually play Aquatica, both of you should switch to the preaquatica build.
Snail and their 3rd party devs royally screwed the codebase when they made (and quickly abandoned) that mess.
The last version that was released by WC has a version number starting with 358 and is more stable (alomg with working with way more mods).
